Reviews: Hand Drawn Pencil Sketch from Photos

I was very surprised to see that my husband's best friend's personality was captured in the sketch. I haven't given it to him yet but I know when I do, he will be really happy to have the pose that his best bud used to look on at the family. Thank you very much. My only disappoint is that the sketch is not signed...and it makes me wonder why not??

This was a birthday gift for my boyfriend. His father had passed away a few years ago and this was one way I knew we could keep his spirit alive in our home. The artist did a fantastic job keeping true to the photo and to who he was. In fact I have several family members now asking where I had it done. I can’t come up with the right words but I am totally amazed at the sketch I got back. I was looking around online for a site that did this and the price on this site really can’t be beat. Everyone I have shown the picture to just gasps because it so like my niece! I can’t wait to give this to my brother & sister-in-law for Christmas . . . and now I’m trying to find great pictures of my nephews to do the same!! I really like that they send you a sample of the drawing for you to approve so you know what you’re getting. I would totally recommend this to anyone!!

The artist at my DaVinci worked very hard to complete the sketch as I asked. While the background and female subject were always very good, unfortunately there is something about the male subject that we never did quite "master". I received the original and my family said the same thing: "it is very, very good, but something is a little off with his lower face." I think we all know him so well that it is a subconscious feeling we have that something is different, but it is a sketch and NOT perfect. In any case, I would recommend myDaVinci to my friends. My only advice would be to make sure you submit a very good quality photograph for the artist to work from and not one that is unclear or has shadows.
